Mountain Echoes Literary Festival, Bhutan

Flint Asia were engaged to promote the seventh edition of Mountain Echoes literary festival in Bhutan. The 2016 edition of the festival showcased three days of topical discussion and debate on a range of themes including climate change, women’s voices, travel writing and love and relationships along with a range of extended programming including art exhibitions, workshops and music performances at the festival.

The campaign developed by Flint Asia had a particular focus on engaging more discerning journalists with a view to producing higher quality media coverage that can effectively convey the uniqueness, appeal and quality of the festival. Operating as off-site festival press office and with a wide-ranging operational remit, Flint were able to garner extensive coverage across sectors covering every aspect of the festival with broad ranging pieces covering interview features for festival Patron, Her Majesty the Royal Queen Mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, festival directors, the festival producer, participating speakers and overall programming of the festival.

As part of the remit, Flint also successfully secured 10 national and international press trips, delivering more in-depth coverage across a broad media spectrum. A total of 135 pieces was secured across national and international newspapers, magazines and online platforms.
